Youth Project of the Year 

New Horizons Foundation’s project “Junior Leaders, Ready for Action!” („Lideri juniori, gata de acțiune!”) was named Project of the Year in the category of Youth at the National Volunteering Gala, an event organized by the Volum Federation.

2008 - 2009

 

Global Fund for Children Recognition

The Global Fund for Children recognized the work of New Horizons Foundation in advancing the dignity of vulnerable children and youth.  Through their funding, we offered IMPACT trainings and recruited volunteers to sustain IMPACT clubs in one of the poorest regions of Romania, the Jiu Valley.

2005

 

Diploma of Excellence

The IMPACT program received the Diploma of Excellence and was designated as the best youth development project in Hunedoara County at the Hunedoara Youth Gala.

2002

 

Civil Society Awards

The VIAȚA program was nominated for an award at the Civil Society Gala, an annual event recognizing excellence in the area of social activism.  After the nomination, VIAȚA was recognized as one of the best three youth development programs in Romania.

2015

 

Activism and Human Rights Project of the Year

New Horizons Foundation’s project “Non-formal Education, Still Education!” („Educație nonformală. Tot educație!”) was named Project of the Year in the category of Activism and Human Rights at the National Volunteering Gala, an event organized by the Volum Federation.

2007

 

NESsT Social Enterprise Award

New Horizons Foundation was awarded a prize by NESsT Romania at its 2007 Social Enterprise Competition.  This diploma recognized NHF for our development of a social enterprise plan in the area of local tourism.

 

Best Practice for Work with Youth with Disabilities

In 2007, NHF and the IMPACT program were recognized as a best practice model in Romania for youth and adults with disabilities by the Heart of a Child Foundation (Fundația Inimă de Copil).
