SKYE clubs are the newest offspring of IMPACT International. Based entirely off of the IMPACT methodology, SKYE (standing for Skills & Knowledge for Youth Economic Empowerment) is a program intended to instill values, knowledge, and abilities in youth aged 18-24 in the sphere of job readiness and economic engagement.
The possibility of the Romanian Parliament allowing an international mining company to use strip mining and leave behind large amounts of cyanide at Roșia Montană determined thousands of Romanians to burst into the streets in protest – both inside and outside the country. Even so, most of the Romanian population remains unaware of the harmful effects that this type of mining process can have on the environment and on our quality of life.
How will we be affected if the exploitation with cyanide is approved? The IMPACT Club “After School Special” from Cluj decided that people need to get some answers. Therefore, 8 of the club members went to find out more about what is happening at Roșia Montană.

The VIATA Camp is one of the 13 projects supported in 2012 by one of the most prestigious mountain equipment companies - The North Face! Through Explore Fund program, The North Face Europe juried over 200 applications in 2012. With this project, The North Face Europe gives mountain equipment to VIATA Camp, so young people with fewer opportunities might come to the camp. Read more

IMPACT Youth Clubs of the Jiu Valley are celebrating the National Week of Volunteering (NWV) from May 9-15, 2011. During this special time, the IMPACT clubs will carry out various voluntary community service projects throughout the Jiu Valley.
